Our 67 Good Deeds for 2019

Thunderbolt takes part in a philanthropic initiative called the “67 Campaign”.

This initiative will provide rations to 67 malnourished children in and around Africa.

The annual campaign is calling on all willing residents of South Africa to help and DONATE in order to relieve the impoverished youngsters as well as to mark the national holiday of July 18th with this humanitarian action.

Precious 67 Minutes

The campaign is accompanied by the 67 Minutes challenge and our Casino manager, Alisa remarked on the occasion:
“Our inspiring leader fought for social justice for 67 years. He taught us that each of us as individuals have the power to change the world.”

The 67 Minutes campaign at Thunderbolt is a call to action for all wishing to spend this meaningful time in any given way, in order to ease the suffering of vulnerable citizens such as: spend 67 minutes with the elderly, brighten a child's day by organizing a sport event or even helping out at a children's centre. This can also be volunteering in one of South Africa’s soup kitchens or cleaning up a park or one of our many beaches. 

Helping the Most Needy

Thunderbolt decided to take part in this initiative by purchasing 67 VitaMeal bags, with each providing enough food to feed a fellow human being for an entire month. VitaMeal company has created over 400 farming and production jobs in Malawi and it provides rations for over 2 million orphans. This makes Thunderbolt and its entire staff overjoyed to be able to help this worthy cause. Alisa adds:
“It feels good to do good for others and we’re extremely happy that we’re able to contribute to the 67 Minutes campaign this year, we couldn’t have done it without the support of our valued Thunderbolt customers, thank you all so much!”
